You can still get into the open Moodle courses at http://reta.nmsu.edu/moodle

Specifically, scroll down and you should be able to get into any of the following courses without a Key icor.

The open courses have a face only icon or no icons:

When you are there, you may want to take a look at the "Moodle community" course and the "jump start dynamic learning" course. Both of these should be available to guests.

So you are introducing your students to Moodle for the very first time...

what do you want to make sure they know?

Here's a starter list: Those are some of the things I think of first and foremost...what would you add?

Here's a starter list:

  • Enter your Account ID & Password to login the RETA Moodle site
  • The Enrollment key you only use once, unless you unenroll from the course
  • Once you're back in the course:
  • Click on your name (upper right corner) to access your profile and change settings
  • Click on Participants block to see everyone in class (left column)
  • Click on someone else's name to view their profile and send them a message
  • Review the other blocks to find course resources
